Technical Support Engineer

Reporting to the Technical Support Engineer manager, this individual will be an integral part of the team providing front line technical support on the phone and via email to customers.

Key Accountabilities

Fundamentally, this individual will provide efficient, accurate and an exceptional technical assistance to customers via both phone and email. This individual will play a key role in scheduling and allocating service engineers to the relevant off-site job whilst keeping a consistent, detailed log and record of customer enquiries. Furthermore, adhering to customer requests and desired needs by providing various customer specific print samples.

This individual should be a highly motivated person who possesses strong interpersonal qualities and customer care skills in order to provide an excellent service to meet the needs of the customer when dealing with enquiries and requests.

Key Requirements:

  • Graduate in an Engineering discipline
  • Up to date and relevant IT skills
  • Basic knowledge in networking
  • In-depth understanding of the company’s software and hardware (in-house training will be provided along with self-learning)
  • Has the ability to think analytically when endeavouring to diagnose faults and support customers.

You will receive annual leave of 26 days per annum (pro-rata, excluding bank holidays).

Your normal working hours are 40 hours per week, between 8.30am and 5.30pm dependent on business requirements.  Weekend overtime is paid at double time.  Paid on call support at weekends is optional once experienced.
